Women suffering from postpartum depression are encouraged to breastfeed as apart from the beneficial effects of breast milk to the baby, it has shown to increase the mother-child bonding. Helping the woman connect with the baby itself helps in fighting postpartum depression. It raises the mother's confidence levels and helps her build a healthy relationship with her child. i'm cool!
