Generally Postpartum Thyroiditis treatment depends on age, medical history, severity of the disorder and whether woman is breastfeeding or not. In most cases no treatment is required. But in case it is required, hyperthyroidism is treated with atenolol or propanolol and hypothyroidism with levothyroxine.
