When HIV (AIDS) was first being discovered, it was commonly being found in homosexuals, and subsequently became a negative connotation associated with all homosexuals. In reality, however, HIV/AIDS is transmitted more easily between homosexual males not using protection due to the thin internal anal tissue, known to easily tear and allow infection.
