In general these components are simple sugars with slightly alkaline pH. The proteins are less than 1 percent of all components. These proteins consist of proteolytic enzymes, prostatic acid phosphatase and prostate specific antigen. Other important constituents: zinc with a concentration 500 to 1000 times the concentration in the blood.
