Postpartum fatigue arises due to the physical strain of giving birth to a baby. It is compounded by the fact that after birth, the mother does not get enough time to herself to recuperate as she has to take care of her baby's needs. It may also be caused by other complications such as anemia or blood loss or postpartum depression. It can last for a few weeks depending on whether or not the mother has someone to help her out.
