It is a fluid collection surrounded by a thin membrane localized within the ovary. Any ovarian follicle that exceeds the size of 2 cm ovarian cyst is called. The cysts are functional in nature for most that is to say ordered in benign tumors. They can occur in women of any age with a higher incidence in premenopausal women.
