These are simple cysts that are part of normal menstruation. They are not considered as diseases and can be treated. There are 3 type:

* Graafian follicle cyst,
* Corpus luteum cyst,
* Hemorrhagic cyst.

They appear during ovulation when the egg does not leave the ovary, the ovary may swell with fluid and become cystic. Usually, these cysts disappear spontaneously after a few menstrual cycles
