A study conducted in the University of California, United States, on pre and postnatal nutritional effects in sheep suggests that they have a definite impact on cardiovascular disease in adulthood. Sheep with mismatched pre and postnatal nutrient environments showed altered cardiovascular function in adulthood compared to sheep which had similar environments. This study has implications for humans also.
