The sperm that are produced in the testis enters the head of the epididymis, and then arrive at the corpus to arrive at the end at the tail. The sperm complete their maturation in their transit through the epididymis because in arriving at this level, they cannot move while swimming and are not yet able to fertilize an egg. The last phase of maturation takes place in the female reproductive system.
