All foods that are at a high risk of listeria or salmonella poisoning should be avoided during pregnancy. Contamination by these bacteria can lead to miscarriage or still birth. So raw seafood, meats, eggs, refrigerated meat spreads and unpasteurised milk and cheeses are best avoided.
