It is recommended that women who have had a C-section wait for at least 6 weeks till their wounds have healed before starting on an exercise regime. Exercising should be increased gradually starting with about 10-15 minutes a day. It is alright to go for walking during this period. Pelvic floor and abdominal exercises can also be done.
